Every Woman is Beautiful

So often, we hear ourselves, our friends and strangers complaining about the various imperfections we have.  Especially in the online beauty community.  There was even a vlog tag about perfect imperfections going around a while back.  The original post was rather good.  The person who originated that tag named 5 things she did not like about herself, but also named five things she loved about herself.  As the tag went on you saw more girls and younger girls naming a ton of imperfections struggling to find five if any things they loved about themselves.  After a few months, I stopped watching those tags because it was sad to see girls crying and hating themselves more than they loved themselves.

We all are beautiful and we all have things we don't like about ourselves.  If we sit and over analyze every pore, freckle, etc. We are bound to find a million imperfections.  Look at the women you love around you, they feel self conscious too...but they are beautiful and chances are you don't notice what they would consider to be "flaws."

Part of what is so great about the online beauty community is that we get to branch out beyond  our everyday friends and family and share our beauty tips and tricks with each other.  These tips and tricks are to help us feel better about what we consider to be our imperfections.  So my tip for you today is go look in the mirror and as silly as it sounds tell yourself you are beautiful or blow yourself a kiss. LOVE YOURSELF.

The best we can do is to love ourselves and take care of what we were born with because truly, every woman is beautiful.

Well, many of you asked me to keep you updated on coupon codes for various beauty products.  So here are a few sales, codes, deals, etc.

3) Today, the Sephora Beauty Insider Newsletter came out and they were offering codes for trial size products.  I accidentally deleted the newsletter, but it got me to thinking.  When I order offline, I do not get any discount codes for future orders--I get samples I rarely use. When I go into the store I get a cute little pink envelope for 10% off of my next purchase.  In my state that is taking off the tax.  So sign up to be a beauty insider at Sephora.com. You can also sign up in the store.  However, remember, if you shop in the store, you may also receive that 10% off card.  **I would say I get this every other time I shop in-store. My sister gets one each time she shops at Sephora because she never purchases anything online. :)

4) A product that I got from QVC several months ago from Mally Beauty were a trio of eyeliners that contained my favorite colors. Navy, brown, and champagne. I really wanted the 15 year anniversary set of the Urban Decay liners (which are still a favorite brand), but I didn't want the duplicates for the money and I wanted to try something new. I was literally only missing the limited edition colors and I even had one of those somehow. I think it was bourbon.  Perhaps that was a repromoted item. On my friend Heidi's (Jalapena2007) advice I tried Mally's liners again after 6 years and I love them.  The champagne is PERFECT for opening the eye, the blue is FABULOUS for whitening the whites of the eye, and the brown is GREAT for not looking severe and really letting your lashes show more than a black liner can sometimes. There are different variations of colors, but this was my favorite trio and it was only $25.  You can fine those here.  Three pencils of this quality for that price is unbelievable.

5)Finally, BeautyChoice.com is having a sale on their Fahrenheit irons.  I believe those are the ones that Lisa (Lisasz09) recently reviewed with the four barrels.  The code is on the site.  They are 20% off and the site offers free shipping.

One last bit of insight.  Tonight my mom called and told me she couldn't find her favorite perfume and that she had called all of the major stores and even went on the designers website.  I happened to call the outlet mall and found it for her.  If you are lucky enough to live within driving distance of an outlet mall always keep them in mind when you are on the hunt for something specific.  You can always call and ask if you can purchase it over the phone and have it shipped as well.  Many companies are more than willing to do so.

Survey Time--You tell me what you want to see!! :)

I just want to say that I truly love my readers.  I have over 500 unique readers even though only 26 have subscribed. (Just an FYI...to enter giveaways you must be subscribed). 

You always give me such great feedback through comments and email.  I want to make sure that you are all getting some of what you want. Many of you have asked for what types of products I use, reviews, giveaways, monthly favorites and yes videos and tutorials.  I promise all of these are on their way.  The tutorials may be more difficult because of my camera, but they will come. 

Here are some of things that I would like you to vote on as a help to me.  I was going to put a survey in this post, but it was going to be a pop up and those can be so annoying.  So I will just leave a few questions and you can email me the answers at danilovesglitter@aol.com or by leaving a comment in the comments section.

1. What types of haul videos would you most like to see? Just makeup, all beauty related, random items included like jewelry and books? Other things?
2. Which items would you like to see reviewed in the near future? (I will do my best)
3. As for tutorials or step by step instructions for basic makeup application, can you please tell me what type of look you are trying to obtain?  You can even email me a picture of a celebrity or person whose makeup you are trying to emulate.
4. Do you enjoy hearing about sales and coupon codes?
5. When I begin doing videos...what is the first video you would like to see me do? A review of all of my Sigma products, a simple intro video, a favorites video, a "whats in my purse video", or something else?
