Christmas and Beauty Memories - Two for One

Christmas and Beauty Memories - Two for One

Christmas Eves

When I was a little girl, my Mom would buy the most gorgeous dresses for Seester and I to wear on Christmas Eve to go to my Godmother/Aunt's house.  The little girl dresses were absolutely timeless.  We spent so many years carrying on this tradition of watching my mom get ready and spraying her perfume then getting us ready to head out to my Aunt's.  Once we got there, it was pure excitement.  So many cousins to play with, there was a train that had Mickey Mouse on it.  For some reason, when I smell certain hair sprays, perfumes, etc., I remember those Christmas Eves.  There were so many girls ranging from Seester's age to in their 60's...it was like being in a large beauty parlor.

I also remember my Nana taking me to get a manicure before Christmas Eve one year...she looked absolutely disgusted that I had chosen a neon yet pastel peach (which was a very popular shade in 7th grade mind you) and a snowman applique.  She on the other hand had her naturally VERY long nails painted a deep red, and she had a gold jewel that screwed in that said "Foxy" on it.  She was sooo before her time.

On Christmas Eve, we would bundle up and all of us "kids" would go out caroling while Santa made a visit to my Aunt's house.  I don't think many of us knew the words once we got out of elementary school, so we looked to the next generation to teach us.  One year, my uncle and his wife made chorus books and brought flashlights...they didn't do much good.  Everyone was having too much fun.  Another year, we moved to another Aunt's house and one of my Cousin's boyfriends with a truck took us caroling in the back of his pickup.  There were so many of us, I just don't know how we did it looking back.  Finally, there was the last year.  It was raining that year.  So instead of going outside to carol, we went into a bedroom for what seemed like an eternity, while the grown ups ran to their cars in the rain to get the gifts.  That Christmas Eve I was 18 years old.  I got chickenpox from one of the babies and my grandfather passed away less than a month later.  Everything began to change and it has never felt the same since. My family grew apart.

Now, Seester and I help Mom make homemade Manicotti on Christmas Eve while my Dad throws flour at us.  No, he helps a lot...but he does like to throw flour on me... My parents are a lot of fun.  They make Christmas Eve fun for us, even as adults.

Christmas Days

On Christmas Day, my family makes a ginormous Italian feast.  At one point we used to have dinners for  25-30 people.  Our family has drifted and several members have passed on far too early, however, we still seem to cook for the same amount and hand out goody bags to friends and family...and yet still have enough to freeze for leftovers.

Several years in a row Seester would wake me up saying "Danielleeeeeeeee......Santa came!!!!" Being that I am seven years older, I would play along.  One year though, I was really excited about Christmas because there were odd shaped packages downstairs and Seester wasn't awake yet.  My mom said I could wake her, but she refused to get up.  So I shook her out of her sleeping bag (poor thing)...she laughs now when she looks at the pictures that someone took while I was doing it.  We were to open our gifts, clean up, eat breakfast and get dressed because company would be coming very soon.  Then the whole process would repeat.

Matching pajama's was something my Mom had started.  There was a time when Seester and I took over that tradition, trying to get matching pajamas just to make my Mom laugh.  We did slip up a few years, but we did our best.  My Uncle's best friends always gave the most fun gifts when I was a teenager!  Cosmetic kits and subscriptions to Teen Beauty magazine. (I think that was the name, or perhaps it was just Teen).

My last Christmas with my Nana, was very special to me.  You see, she had been putting makeup on me and little beauty marks like Marilyn Monroe's since I was about four.  She even gave me my own makeup drawer at her house filled with Ultima II cosmetics.  Well, our last Christmas together, she gave me one of the biggest honors of my life...she asked me if I could do her makeup like mine. :') At that time, I was wearing copper and brown shadows with a winged black liquid liner and a red lip.  The lipstick I wore was always Cherries in the Snow by Revlon, my Nana had given it to me. I did her makeup and we were twins.  She was dancing around singing "Pretty Woman" and posing for whomever was taking pictures at that moment. My Nana, as is my Mom, naturally glamorous...but they both really LOVE to be done up. I would give anything to be able to do her makeup one more time.  I think it is my Nana bringing me up with her love of glamour, glitz and shiny things that has had such a huge effect on this aspect of my personality, but I also think that it was that Christmas in particular...

Christmas Days have changed since then also.  The number of people at the table fluctuates, but is usually around four or five.  During the day Seester and I spend time goofing off and relaxing.  Sometimes we get ready, other times we don't. I think this year we should and perhaps start some new traditions that we can bring into the future.  Sometimes you just need to stop looking back and trying to fix things and move forward and embrace what you have.

Merry Christmas
xoxo

Hair Myths , Old Wives Tales, Funny Cousins, & Saving Expensive Hair Masks

I abide by so many myths or old wives tales in my life, that at this point I find it comical, particularly when it comes to certain ones.  I would wait for rainy season in the desert just so I could catch pots and Tupperware full of rain water to rinse my hair with, as my Mom told me this is what she used to do to grow her hair really long....and my mother was and is stunning.  When she got engaged to my father she had hair longer than mine is now and it was just gorgeous.  One of her secrets was rinsing with fresh rain water whenever possible.  So, my family and I collected rain water and I wore my hair in the classic Beverly Hills 90210 Brenda fashion through most of high school. For all of my high school friends reading this...I am so glad you can't post pictures.  Perhaps I will soon. :)

When I was 16 or 17, one of my best friend's in high school had a woman from Pakistan who worked in her home as a mommy's helper.  She taught us a lot about different beauty treatments.  She was the first person to ever do my eyebrows, and she used the threading method.  I don't think I have ever had such a good brow.  They were thicker then, but still showcased my natural arch.  My BFF has this beautiful, strong, straight brow with an arch towards the end of the iris that perfectly suit her face.  The Mommy's helper (whose name I am not using for privacy) also used to use pure coconut oils in her hair and then braid it.  That was her version of a hair mask.  My best friend and I began to copy that ritual on weekends as well.

My cousin Danielle (yes, my cousin is also named Danielle and I love her so much....blog to come soon) convinced me if I wore a ponytail in a scrunchie every night and rinsed my hair with ice cold water in the shower, it would grow...I did it.

I did all of the things the women in my life told me to try to get my hair to grow and be long, and gorgeous.  What we do for beauty, right?

Now I have a routine of using a hair mask once a week on my hair.  I used to use WEN, and now I use Moroccan Oil's Hydrating Repair Mask (blue and orange tub) and have for almost two years.  I have found with these jars, that sometimes it is hard to get them closed as tightly as they need to be, particularly if you are rushing, simply due to the emollient formula that stays on your hands regardless of rinsing.  I thought I was alone, and I was just being careless, but I asked several friends today if their tub conditioners have this same problem.

What I found is that yes, many people leave the jar slightly open and the product begins to get a little bit drier than normal.  Sunday I found out that by using a little bit of water, and a coffee stirring utensil, I could easily bring back the consistency and my friend who is a hair dresser said that would be fine.  Another one of my friends told me she did the same thing with WEN, only the WEN had gotten severely dry and required more water.  The third friend I talked to said that when she forgot to screw the lid down on her Biolage conditioner, it didn't dry out at all.  I suppose because it is a conditioner, rather than a mask, that could explain the difference. A different chemical makeup and the fact that two of the three products contain more natural ingredients than the third could easily account for why some dried out and some didn't.

The hair dresser I spoke to said that as long as it wasn't open OPEN and the lid was still somewhat on, just not as tightly as normal, the product should be fine.

In the future I think I will towel off and go back and check my shampoos, conditioners and hair masks to make sure everything is closed tightly.

LaynieBug Designs Hair Accessories

 LaynieBug Designs Hair Accessories--A Review

LaynieBug Designs Hair Ties come in a wide array of colors and retain their elasticity much longer than a rubber band.  They do not snag or get tangled in the hair, and look much better around the wrist for those of us who feel naked without an emergency hair band on our wrists for a quick up do. This is one of the company's current best sellers and one of my personal favorites already!

I had the pleasure of getting to know Melissa Blair (Owner of LaynieBugs Designs) after watching one of Sam Shuerman's videos (thanks Sam) on hair bows and storage.  I am so glad I did.  Prior to meeting Melissa, I would wait until I went to a convention or street fair only to buy poorly made hair pieces for a really expensive price tag.

Melissa, is not only one of the most creative and hard working people I have ever met, but she is also the most down to earth and giving people I have met.  Be sure to go all the way to the bottom to see our interview! Just a preview, she does all the work herself and runs her business through her Facebook page.  She also contributes a percentage of each month's profits to a charity that touches her heart.

Melissa was kind enough to send me some samples of the different types of flowers, headbands, and hair ties that she sells in her store.  I said whatever she wanted to send was fine, and she sent me a great array that I can't wait to wear! (Would it be overkill to wear them all at once?....Perhaps....) Below are some of the items that Melissa sent over for review.

A great package was sent to me with a variety of samples and products and everything was wrapped well and was also packaged so that nothing got crushed which I found to be very important.

Before we get to that, I have to say that these are impeccably made.  I have waist length, thick hair.  I have purchased many floral clips for upwards of $30 dollars in the past, only for the clip to be very hastily glued with a dot of glue and a cheap clip.  I usually needed to use 2 bobby pins and then clip in the flower.  I also love the the way that LaynieBugs Designs clips hook on to the hair bands.  It gives the flower clips so much versatility.  They can be worn as a single, double or tripple on a headband...or alone on the side of the hair or as part of an updo.

Some Satin Rosette choices
Satin and Organza choices with various center designs

All of the Layniebug pieces can be customized and she can also give you ideas on how to make your piece special. Above are just two examples of what you can choose from to customize your order.  However, Melissa will listen to what you want and look for what you are describing as well.  If she can't find it she will let you know.  Below are the pictures of the samples I received and am loving as well as some ideas of how and what I would wear them with. Following the pictures is an interview with Melissa.
The pink fabric rosette on the green headband has a frayed look...which I LOVE!  At first I thought, what could I pair this with and instantly I realized this would be perfect with jean shorts or a skirt and a white peasant blouse or tee and wild wavy hair for a really Bohemian look!  The second is a light olive green flower with pearl center clip on a headband.  I love this as it is very classy and I would easily wear this with neutrals.  The far right is possibly my favorite.  My Mom, Seester, and I love polka dots and I actually have a summer shirt that matches this headband perfectly.  I will have to wear it closer to summer.  I love these headbands, there is so digging, they don't roll up, they have the perfect stretch and they don't over-stretch.

Here are closeup shots of the two pieces that are attached to the headband from the front.
These are a variety of different flowers with different centers and materials that I can clip to any headband, hair tie, or just directly into my hair. The picture above is that of the back of each of the clips
This picture shows the backing of each of the clips and how sturdy the clips themselves are.
Now, here is my interview with Melissa:

 1) You are a mother of two.  What gave you the idea to start this business and how did you come up with the line?
I started making hair accessories for my daughter and it just blossomed into what you see today!  As far as coming up with my line….and different collections….I pull ideas from what's around me.  When I go fabric shopping I can start to invasion ideas of what to make next.
2) Where do you draw inspiration from?
My daughter and her friends……..as well as my friends!
3) You give a percentage of your profits to different charities each month...do you have specific charities or causes? Or any examples to share?  I typically gravitate towards charities that are near and dear to my heart…..those involving children, cancer, animals, etc.  I also get ideas from customers….I've sponsored customers in charitable walks and taken their suggestions.  Here are some of my past charities:   Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, St. Jude's, Human Society of North Texas, Stand Up 2 Cancer, Breast Cancer Charities of America, Hope for Hannah….Hannah is the niece of my daughter's AWESOME Kindergarten Teacher from last year…she's currently battling Leukemia and is only 2 years old!
4) As a small business, most people wouldn't think of giving back so soon...what inspires you to give back to others?
I believe strongly in giving back.  I want to show my kids how important it is!   I LOVE that this business gives us…as a family the ability to do so more often.  I feel so lucky to be doing something I LOVE…..I believe in paying your good fortune forward!
5) Your items are able to be customized completely, how does that affect pricing?
It does affect pricing somewhat but what I found when I started this business was that very few people will do a complete custom piece for you.  I couldn't understand why?  Yes, it takes a little more time and effort but the results are priceless!  I want my customers to be happy!  If for some reason I can't find the materials and make what they want I let them know as fast as possible!
6) You can create hair pieces for special events such as proms, formals and weddings; do you do a mock sample first?  How does that work?
Absolutely!  I LOVE a challenge!  I've done many pieces for weddings, formals, proms etc.!  I typically keep in close contact with the customer and email them with questions and pics along the way…..I want them to have input and be part of the creative process!
7) How many glue sticks do you go through per month?
I've never actually counted but I've actually wondered this before.  I'm going to guess…….maybe 100?
8) You have an eye for creating some very eye catching combos, when you get a custom request you don't think will look good, do you give some feedback to help?
I do give feedback.  This has happened before….when it did I took a picture and emailed the customer……..they quickly discovered it wasn't what they thought it might be.  I've also suggested different materials and or centers when need be.
9) How often do you give discounts?
I give discount randomly.  Sometimes I wake up and think…hmm….I should have a sale today!  I'm also the same way about giveaways!
10) What are your favorite/most worn pieces?
My favorites are the hair ties and smaller satin flowers.  The most popular items are my hair ties and the Silver Satin w/ Black Beaded Center….which was worn by Sam Schuerman and made popular by her!
11) What are the deadlines for ordering in time for Christmas or New Year’s or have those ships sailed? Xmas deadlines are pretty much past….but there's still hope for New Years as long as orders are made by the 21st!

To place an order, browse LaynieBugs Designs, or discuss custom options (including different center decorations), go to https://www.facebook.com/layniebugdesigns and use the word "Glitter" in the message for Melissa to know to accept your request.  Her Facebook page is generally a catalog of ideas.

Current Faves, Flops and the Breaking Dawn Test

During this time of year everyone is on the run, and while we love using this time of the year to experiment with different looks sometimes we just need to get out the door!  Many of my favorites and flops come from my Seester's whirlwind trip over Thanksgiving.

The Breaking Dawn Test

Let me back track for a moment so you can picture this.  I take up to an hour or more getting ready (shower, makeup, hair)....my Seester can do it in half the time and look like she just walked out of a salon where she had her hair and makeup done.

At one point during her trip home, we decided to go see Breaking Dawn Part 1, and she said..."Be ready in 30 minutes or we aren't going, and NO MAKEUP!"  This was such a challenge for me, because I really thought she would do her makeup while I was getting ready.  I jumped in the shower, towel dried my hair and put it up, and then used some of the products below for some makeup on the run, hoping she wouldn't notice I just perked up my skin a bit :)....well I don't know how well that all worked out....you will see why.

I will do a separate blog telling you how I use Laura Geller products and make them work for me, as I have seen many people out there who don't get the results they were looking for.  I didn't either at first...then I called the New York salon and I love it now.  Especially for days when I don't need a full coverage look-although...I can still get one.

Faves
Starting from the back: My pink basket I put all the makeup I will use in a day and take it from my storage and bring it to the bathroom to get ready. Second Row from right to left: Per-fekt Eye Brightening Gel, Laura Geller Spackle in Champagne, Laura Geller Real Deal Concealer in medium, Laura Geller Tinted Moisturizer, in Light, Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner in Urban Cowboy, Laura Geller REGULAR retractable Kabuki that comes with her kits, Sigma's Miss Marilyn Kabuki, Buxom Mini Dolly gloss, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, Laura Geller Marbled Lipstick in Riviera, The Balm's Shady Lady Pallet Volume 1. (Separate picture of the four compacts).  The liners are Laura Geller's inner rim bone shade, and Urban Decay Binge.

From Left to Right: Laura Geller Rose/Sateen Subtle Berry, Laura Geller Bronze and Brighten, Laura Geller Balance and Brighten in Regular, Laura Geller Shadow duo Marble shadow in Blue Icing/Coffee Cake, My favorite nail polish lately has been Lisa from Zoya as seen behind the Balance and Brighten.  It is a shimmery and festive red.

Major Flop

The ever shedding Laura Geller BIG Retractable baked Kabuki Brush.  Nearly double the width of the ones you see on QVC.  I ordered it from her studio for I believe $30...such a disappointment....it never stops shedding.

Non Makeup Faves for the Month FESTIVITIES
The latest pair of funky socks I opened from my Seester's gift last year.

I could not get a better picture...but I will.  These are the gorgeous ruby and 14k gold earrings one of my BFF's sent me for graduation and one of my most cherished possessions. I love wearing them in the fall and winter!  I wore them to Breaking Dawn and THEY PASSED THE TEST!

Faves Descriptions and Breaking Dawn Ratings
Laura Geller Products
  •  The Real Deal Concealer in Medium: Perfect match for my skin.  Usually works under my eyes...but it gets a thumbs down after seeing Breaking Dawn.  I cried so much (because I just do that sometimes) that it wet, and dried even though I was dabbing my eyes and was a disgusting, cakey mess. Worked great on the rest of my face where I was having issues with redness. This DID NOT PASS the Breaking Dawn Test
  • The Tinted Moisturizer in Light: Again, a perfect skin tone match.  Not very moisturizing, but works well for sheer coverage. Just make sure to use a moisturizer underneath...this isn't Josie Maran's Tinted Moisturizer. This passed the Breaking Dawn Test
  • Champagne Spackle: In my top 5 favorite primers.  It gives a really radiant glow to the skin.  There are micro sparkles...but no disco ball looks. During the winter, when our complexions look like Bella's in Breaking Dawn...we need a little radiance! This passed the Breaking Dawn Test
  • Balance and Brighten in Regular: Love it when used with the Sigma Kabuki Brush which was half the price of what I paid for the Laura Geller Brush.  The Sigma brush is much cuter, works better, and is smaller for on the go touch ups. This passed the Breaking Dawn Test
  • Bronze and Brighten: Perfect bronzer, especially for the winter to warm the skin up, and give a slight contour. This passed the Breaking Dawn Test
  • The Rose and Subtle Berry Blush: One of my favorite Laura Geller products.  You get a blush and matching blush in one compact.
  • The Marble shadow in Blue Icing and Coffee Cake.  I should have purchased two of these.  I use the blue wet usually, and then blend it out with the brown and a fluffy brush and my eyes are done in two seconds.
  • The Marbled Lipstick in Riviera: Usually, this color would be too peachy or dark for me, but it seemed to work when I had no eye makeup on while crying during Breaking Dawn.
  • Laura Geller Liners for the rims: Opthomologist tested.  They do fade, but not for awhile.  They aren't the softest pencil, but I like this particular shade a lot for the inner rim.
  • The Regular Retractable brush that comes with most Laura Geller products: Works GREAT with bronzers and blushes.  It does not give good coverage of the foundation though.

Other Products
  • I already raved about the Sigma Retractable Kabuki Brushes.  They really apply the LG Balance and Brighten better than any brush I tried.
  • Tarte Lights Camera Lashes: You can't go wrong with this mascara.  Never a "bad lash day."
  • Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter: I am not sure if the name has changed or if it is still packaged the same way...but I love the shade Urban Cowboy to use over lighters and brown shadows during the holidays
  • Per-Fekt Eye Brightening Gel: I can use this as a concealer...and after my debacle with the Breaking Dawn and crying incident, I came home, washed off my makeup...did the no makeup look again...but used this concealer/eye brightener. Would I purchase it again?  Doubtful due to the cost...Keep the Garnier girls...same concept from what I understand.  I should compare them.
  • Urban Decay Binge 24/7 Liner: This has got to be one of my top 3 favorites if not my favorite liner from UD.  It brightens the eyes, ads some oomph and just makes you feel pretty without feeling dated.
  • TheBalm Shady Lady Pallet Volume 1: If you are lucky enough to have this you will know what I mean, if not...this is one to try and get your hands on.  I love the range of colors.  My one complaint if I had one is that they are all shimmery and only on real highlight.  I can deal with that though.  The colors I have been reaching for are Luscious Lani (peach champagne highlight), Jet Set Jennifer (almost a greenish/silver/gray), Curvy Cami (Lovely Plum), Easy Wheezie (Gorgeous steel blue or gunmetal), Risque Renee (Dark Blue...almost Navy), Shameless Shanna (Stunning Brown Shimmer)
  • Buxom Lip Gloss in Dolly: Plummy Brown.  This is the first Buxom lip gloss I ever purchased.  I recently they heard one they had called Dani...I think I might need that one :)  What color is it? haha
If you have any questions or comments regarding any of the products below or would like a more in-depth review or swatches, please leave a comment below or email me at the email address listed at the top of the page!

Just a quick note with some news

Image made for Dani by LaceSmiles84
One of my BFF's and I (PD2) created a FB page (not a fan page) for DanielleLovesGlitter Beauty Blog...just so we can all have a place to chat, take polls, be supportive and share.  I realize not everyone enjoys FB, but if you do, we would love to have you.

Let me know if you think there is a different type of forum you would be more comfortable with.  A lot of people don't like twitter or FB and like a real time chat room.  It is hard to please everyone...but knowing me, I will die trying :).  Happy Saturday everyone and look for my Saturday blog later on today/early evening!

Sneak Peek: November Faves and Flops: Sigma, Laura Geller, Urban Decay, Too Faced, Zoya, Perfekt, and a few other random items.

I am really excited do be doing this a favorites blog again!

My Christmas WISH list - A Girl Can Dream

So as I make this Christmas wish list, I realize I have more than enough.  I think of all of the people in the world who don't have nearly enough to survive.  I would gladly give to them what I have and do my best to get them more.

However, I was tagged by my online friends to do a Christmas Wish List blog, and I was also asked by real life friends and family members to do a Christmas Wish List blog.  Please note, I have a running Sephora wish list I can send you at any time under a secret name...leave me a comment if you need that name (mom) HAHA. JK

To start with, I have to say that I started this year with the intention of moving out of my three train cases and into two steralite container bins I purchased.  One small one and one on wheels as well as one of those darn QVC spinners.  Needless to say, I now I have ALL OF THOSE FILLED, including the train cases.  Not to mention, when my sister came to visit me, I broke one of the wheels off the steralite container so it now sits lopsided as I struggle to remove the remaining three wheels. I have decided that I seriously need to convert my freezing cold garage into a makeup room--half kidding--it is far too cold in there.

    1 of 3 train cases
    1 of 2 Steralite

    Spinner

However, I have been thinking of different options for storage.  The steralite isn't working out very well, and a Clear Cube won't hold my makeup because of my more bulky pallets from brands such as Tarte and Too Faced. (Both brands I love, but the packaging is on the bulkier side).

I also realized it may be easier to have an actual vanity or makeshift vanity in my bedroom, rather than hauling a basket of makeup to my bathroom each day to get ready along with a brush roll or container. *Side note: This sure is a long intro to a Christmas wish list isn't it?* So, I think I may have come up with a temporary solution, but PLEASE feel free to leave comments with your suggested solutions.

    Christmas Wish List (ha!)

    1. Either a vintage dresser with drawers ranging from shallow to deep, or the Alex Drawer Unit from Ikea (See Image Below). Another option is the drawers with a small table top and an antique or antique looking stool that can be used as a make shift vanity. *Only until I can get the giant princess style one from Pottery Barn Teens--kidding! Kinda...*
    Alex Drawers from Ikea

    Old School Vanity

    2.  Should I have some sort of storage and vanity in my bedroom (I have very large furniture that I love too  much to get rid of) I would then need a mirror.  What mirror you ask?  Well of course I would want a Vanity Girl Broadway Mirror and Vanity Girl Vanity table if that is an option for that matter :).  However, I would settle for that same "Day to Night" tri-fold mirror I bought my sister before she left for college.  I mean this is a "Dream Christmas List" right?

    Day to Night Tri-Fold

    Vanity Girl Broadway Mirror

Well, those were some dreamy items.  Lets start back at one since this is a more realistic Christmas List :)
    1. Slippers!  My feet are as frozen as Fred Flinstone's when he had blocks of ice.  I really like these from http://www.beachfeet.com.  They have memory foam and just look comfy and warm for cool nights by the beach.

    2. My eyebrow lady is pregnant and last time she was pregnant I was getting my eyebrows done at Ulta and it was awful.  The wax broke me out and they did my brows way too thin and often times they were lopsided. After watching Sam Shuerman's videos, I am confident I can do my own waxing and my cousin's if she will let me.  Therefore, I thought this would be an awesome little gift.  However, I want a wax that is really good for sensitive skin.  My estitician won't give up the brand she uses but it looks like thin green puddy.

    Entire Waxing Kit
    3. I thought this Josie Maran kit was pretty sweet looking.  In truth, I am mostly after the Josie Maran Illuminizer (I finished the sample Heidi sent me) and a new bottle of the Josie Maran Aragan Oil (I finished that too).  There are also some other products such as her cheek stick, lip gloss, mascara and shadow wand thingy to try.

    Jose Maran Kit at Sephora
4.If I were to get the aforementioned vanity station, and only then....I would love to place this mirrored box on that vanity (the Starlit Collection).  Tarte is one of my favorite brands and I think the bottom drawer is one of my favorites.  I love the bronzer, limited edition Tarte blushes, and I have always wanted the Tarte Rose Shimmer Powder.

    Tarte Starlit Pallet
    5. The Naked 2 pallet by Urban Decay

    6. The Too Faced Matte Pallet would finish my collection of Too Faced Pallets

    7. A Snuggie or those footie pajamas for lounging

    8. A few more of the thick turbo twisties for my hair

    9. A good winter perfume that doesn't change scents on me or have orchid in it (I am very allergic)

    10. Movie tickets are always good!

    11. One of the Kindles that you can watch Netflix on, play apps, or read books.  I love to read, but I hate the clutter of books so I am about to sell off my collection or box it up for now.

    12. Some warm clothes

    13.  Wild Card gift

    14. Socks

    15. More than 1 day with my Seester!
